Mobile wallet: Bopzy™ - the standard for contactless payments

 

Using the Escher interactive services platform, Escher Group has now developed a range of Near Field Communication (NFC) applications that complements its existing technology. Escher offers these NFC services as white labelled or under its new product brand, Bopzy.

NFC is a fast-growing standard that permits device-to-device communication. This is made possible through a small chip embedded in the mobile device, enabling fast, secure and convenient transactions.

Services such as rewards, couponing, gift, stored value, ticketing, access, healthcare, information collection and exchange, payment processing and smart postering are among the services supported by Escher’s NFC solutions.

With more and more transactions being pushed to the local delivery person and other retail environments, administrations are now searching for cost-effective options for managing increasingly diverse networks.

It is estimated that by 2015, almost 900 million mobile phones worldwide will have NFC technology as standard. Escher will make these services available to customers through the Riposte product and will also use the technology where applicable outside of the postal industry.
