Vice President of Strategic Accounts and Head of Office - Washington
Reports to: The Executive Vice President
Based at: Escher Group, Washington
As the leading supplier of postal transaction messaging technology in the world today, Escher Group currently works with 32 national operators who use its Riposte product suite to deliver point of service solutions to their customers.
As part of its ongoing expansion, Escher has opened an office in Washington D.C. to further company strategies across the Americas: North, Central and South. Escher is now looking for an individual who can coordinate and drive sales in these regions, particularly for its digital content delivery service, RiposteTrEx, which combines structured data transmission with the sending of traditional mail in electronic form; and Near Field Communications technology (NFC), which permits device-to-device communication. It is the goal of Escher Group that both these technologies complement existing sales to facilitate new revenue channels for the Group.
The person will be an enthusiastic and driven individual. They will be responsible for maintaining and growing profitable sales in the region. He or she will have a minimum of seven years’ experience at the senior management level, delivering new sales in line with strategic expectations. The position will report at a senior level within the group.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities strategy formulation & implementation:
- Plan and drive the strategy for Escher products including RiposteTrEx and Interactive Services (NFC)
- Support the overall process of management and corporate decision-making to ensure the organisation maximises its short, medium and long-term goals
- Liaise with relevant executive heads on the implementation of the company’s strategic and operational plans
- Execute the responsibilities of a company executive according to lawful and ethical standards of Escher Group
Operations and controls:
- Implement, maintain and manage an effective system of controls within the office covering non-financial as well as financial controls
- Ensure that operating objectives and standards of performance are met
- Present a yearly budget for Board approval and prudently manage resources within budget guidelines according to company policy and within ethical corporate governance guidelines
- Management, monitoring, reporting and communication in regard to financial and physical resources, administration and budgeting
- Maintain and develop Escher organisational culture, values and reputation in its dealings with our customers, suppliers, partners and regulatory/official bodies
Areas of knowledge and skills:
- Management and leadership knowledge and experience
- Sales, business development and commercial skills
- Knowledge of postal operations and general retail business knowledge
- Knowledge of marketing, finance, technology and administration
- Organisational and leadership skills
- Coordinating activities and resources (including performance management)
- The ability to work collaboratively
- Effective, commercial experience in running a business and/or business unit
Knowledge and Skills Requirement:
- Effective, commercial experience in running a business and/or business unit
- Knowledge of postal operation, retail businesses and new product development
- A minimum of 7 years experience as a senior manager for sales and business development
- Demonstrate excellence & expertise in the fields of financial management, administration and operations, IT and corporate affairs
- Demonstrate an understanding of the environment of operations and financial management
- Demonstrate experience in the management of a team at a professional level

.NET Developer/Team Leader
A .NET Developer/Team Leader is required to work on the implementation of a web-scale software product.
The successful candidate will be an experienced C# .NET developer with excellent UI and database skills. The candidate should have experience in leading a team of developers with the ability to turn high level product requirements into detailed designs that can be assigned to team members.
Additionally, the successful candidate should possess excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with both other developers and product owners, understanding their requirements. The role will involve being responsible for producing both designs and code and ultimately managing the assigned development tasks to ensure that the end product produced is of high quality and meets all expectations.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience with C# .NET, ASP .Net, MS SQL / SQL Server
- Team leading experience
- Experience in taking high level requirements and producing detailed designs
- Proven track record with working with large production scale systems
- Dynamics experience a plus
.NET Developer
A .NET Developer is required to work on the implementation of a web-scale software product.
This role would suit a proactive developer with a ‘can do’ attitude and great UI and database design skills. Additionally, you must have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with both other developers and non-technical users, understanding their requirements.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience with C# .NET, ASP .Net, MS SQL / SQL Server
- Experience with WCF
- Proven track record with working with large production scale databases
- Experience with query optimisation and SQL performance turning
- Knowledge of dashboards and graphical representation of data an advantage
- Dynamics experience a plus
Developer
This role would suit a proactive developer with a ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to understand and learn new concepts quickly. Additionally, you should have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with both other developers and non-technical users, understanding their requirements.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience with VB/C/C# .NET
- Any experience using the riposte software product a distinct advantage.
- Experience with financial concepts and stock management an advantage
- Experience with SQL queries and crystal reports
- Knowledge of dashboards and graphical representation of data also an advantage
