South African government department hosts PAPU committee.

November 2011 - The South African Department of Communications hosted a meeting of the Support Committee of the Pan African Postal Union (PAPU) in Johannesburg on 29 November 2011. The event was attended by PAPU members, including Escher customers Botswana Post, NamPost, the South African Post Office (SAPO) and ZimPost.

Escher Group Africa was invited to participate in the proceedings, and its VP African Operations, Karin Oakes, delivered a wide-ranging talk focusing on electronic mail and business strategies for postal organizations to consider as they seek to grow their revenues. Much interest was shown in RiposteTrEx™, Escher’s Digital Postbox product that is helping Posts develop new products and revenue streams.
